Policies & Guest Information

At Rye Meadow Ranch, our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and authentic ranch experience while prioritizing the health and well-being of our animals and guests. We appreciate your understanding that life on a working ranch comes with a little dirt, a few bugs, and lots of memories.

Booking & Cancellation

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your scheduled visit are eligible for a full refund.
• Visits may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time, subject to availability.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled visit are non-refundable.
• Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled visit may not be accommodated.
• If Rye Meadow Ranch cancels due to severe weather, animal health concerns, safety issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, guests may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
• Exceptions for illness or emergencies may be considered at the sole discretion of Rye Meadow Ranch.

Admission

All guests, including infants and young children, must be included in your reservation.

Admission categories:

• Adult (13+)
• Child (2–12)
• Infant (Under 2)

Infant admission is complimentary but must still be included in the reservation.

Arrivals

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled experience.

Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their experience shortened to maintain the schedule for other guests.

No-shows are non-refundable.

Working Ranch

Rye Meadow Ranch is a working cattle ranch and agritourism destination.

Please expect natural ranch conditions, including:

• Grass, dirt, mud, hay, manure, gravel, and uneven ground
• Livestock odors
• Florida insects and wildlife
• Heat, humidity, rain, and changing weather

We recommend dressing comfortably and preparing for an authentic outdoor experience.

What to Wear

Please wear:

• Closed-toe shoes or boots
• Comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dusty
• Weather-appropriate attire, including sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses

Animal Welfare & Guest Conduct

The health, safety, and well-being of our animals always come first.

To help keep everyone safe:

• Follow all instructions provided by ranch staff.
• Feed animals only approved treats provided by the ranch.
• Do not chase, yell at, climb on, or intentionally startle the animals.
• Children must remain under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
• Guests whose behavior is unsafe or disruptive may be asked to leave without a refund.

Because our cattle are living animals with individual personalities, we cannot guarantee specific interactions, poses, or behaviors during any visit.

Health & Safety

Guests are encouraged to:

• Wash or sanitize their hands after interacting with animals.
• Wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
• Notify staff of allergies or concerns before participating.

If anyone in your group is experiencing a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or another contagious illness, please contact us to reschedule your visit.

Property Rules

For the safety of our guests, animals, and property:

• No smoking, vaping, alcohol, illegal drugs, or firearms.
• No outside pets or animals.
• Do not enter restricted areas unless directed by ranch staff.
• Do not climb fences, gates, trees, equipment, hay bales, or livestock enclosures.
• Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children.
• Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and any damage caused by members of their party.

Rye Meadow Ranch reserves the right to refuse service or remove any guest whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or harmful to people, animals, or property.

Photography

Guests are welcome to take personal photos and videos during their visit.

Professional photography sessions are available exclusively through Dakin Images.

Commercial photography, influencer content, styled shoots, and photography involving professional equipment require prior written approval from Rye Meadow Ranch.

Weather

Highland Cow Experiences may continue during light rain and typical Florida weather.

Visits may be postponed or canceled due to lightning, severe storms, excessive heat, flooding, animal health concerns, or other unsafe conditions.

If Rye Meadow Ranch cancels your visit, you'll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Parking

Guests park at their own risk. Rye Meadow Ranch is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to personal property or vehicles.

Video Surveillance

For the safety and security of our guests, animals, staff, and property, portions of Rye Meadow Ranch are monitored by video surveillance.

By entering the property, guests acknowledge and consent to video monitoring.

Liability & Assumption of Risk

Visiting a working cattle ranch involves inherent risks that cannot be eliminated without changing the nature of the experience.

By entering Rye Meadow Ranch, guests voluntarily assume the inherent risks associated with agritourism activities and agree to exercise reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others.

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors at all times.

Failure to follow ranch policies or staff instructions may increase the risk of injury and may result in removal from the property without a refund.

Florida Agritourism Warning

WARNING

Under Florida law, an agritourism operator is not liable for injury, death, or damage to, or loss of, a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such injury, death, damage, or loss results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity.

Pursuant to Section 570.88, Florida Statutes, this warning applies to all visitors and participants.
