Temporary Booking Pause

Highland Cow Experiences are temporarily paused while we complete construction on our new barn and guest areas.

When experiences reopen, guests can look forward to an elevated one-hour Highland Cow Experience with small groups, hands-on time with our herd, and our beautiful new barn and guest spaces.

New availability and updated pricing will be announced as we get closer to reopening.

We can't wait to welcome you back to Rye Meadow Ranch!

Meet the Herd. Make Memories. Experience Ranch Life.

Step away from the hustle of everyday life and experience the charm of a working family ranch.

Whether you're visiting for the first time, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a unique outdoor adventure, our Highland Cow Experiences offer an unforgettable opportunity to meet our Scottish Highland cattle, learn about agriculture, and create lasting memories.

Every visit is designed to be relaxed, educational, and full of meaningful moments with our gentle herd.

Your Experience Includes

• Meeting our Scottish Highland cattle and Highland crosses
• Learning about the Highland breed and life on the ranch
• Petting and brushing the cows
• Hand-feeding approved treats
• Plenty of opportunities for photos and videos
• Learning about daily cattle care and agriculture
• Time to ask questions and connect with the herd

No two visits are exactly the same because every animal has its own personality, making each experience unique.

Before You Visit

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on grass and uneven ground.

Our experiences take place on a working cattle ranch, so you may encounter dirt, mud, hay, insects, and other natural ranch conditions. That's all part of the experience!

A Working Ranch

Rye Meadow Ranch is a working cattle ranch and agritourism destination dedicated to agriculture, education, and meaningful hands-on experiences.

Our cattle are living animals with unique personalities and individual needs. While we strive to provide every guest with unforgettable interactions, their health, safety, and well-being always come first.
